Virgil 2023 Viognier | COMING SOON
This is a fresh lovely wine with tones of a classic Condrieu. The vintage has a medium body with beautiful stone fruit hints. The wine was aged in old French oak barrels for 12 months. This is a delicious wine for white wine drinkers who prefer a softer style than Chardonnay and who are bored with varietals such as Sauvignon Blanc.

Cultivated with organic principles, our Viognier, a late bloomer, reaches ripeness alongside Shiraz in late summer. This year, the benevolent rain gods smiled upon us, gifting us with exquisite, disease-free fruit. With low yields and perfect ripeness, each bunch was carefully hand-picked. Despite our efforts to protect the vines with nets in December, we happily share some of the bounty with the local winged wildlife. Our meticulous process continues as the fruit is hand-harvested and promptly pressed at Virgil Estate, then aged in seasoned French oak barrels. The unhurried fermentation, guided by natural yeasts, unfolds a symphony of flavours and aromas.
